Steel B2B platform in China increased to 300


According to the China Iron and SteelIndustry Association statistics, the steel sales volume for the first half of 2015 from key enterprises was 281.19 million tons, of which direct supply was 103.06 million tons. Domestic steel sales of electronic commerce accounted for 22.3% of the total sales of key enterprises. At present, the total number of online business platform for iron and steel enterprises, steel trade enterprises, and third parties has been close to more than 300 in China.

The general manager of Hebei Iron and Steel Group Sales Corporation - Yan Xiujun thought that the iron and steel business platform solved the problem of excessive circulation of steel, reduced the cost of circulation, and promoted the integration of the steel industry chain. In addition, it also helps enterprises to allocate resources rationally, form the industrial alliance, and then enhance the industrial concentration.

The analyst Wang Guoqing thought that for steel orders and more varieties, the characteristics of small quantities, iron and steel enterprises can make full use of the Internet to track market demand information and product use information, real-time update product specifications, quality specifications, process specifications, the formation of customer demand-oriented.


Massive data will be produced during the process of steel B2B e-Commerce platform’s integration and development, enterprises can use cloud computing, large data and other technologies to dig those data deeply, which will provide a wealth of industry information, scientific market analysis and rigorous policy support for steel industry.
